Hi.
It has just dawned on me that in my post yesterday I really should have included at least some reflection on what we did in our class.
I am not going to use this blog to critique the classes or to write point by point what we did but rather I will put up here a few of the notes that I took during class which for this week is predominantly website url’s.
The first website we began with was http://www.artdesignweb.blogspot.com I am pretty sure that this is our teachers blog. Not only does it outline our course, it also shows us past students work which is a big help and has an huge variety of links to sites related to the course, sites like http://www.group94.com/ http://www.greyscale.net/ and a very clear CSS page http://www.thenoodleincident.com/tutorials/box_lesson/boxes.html though I found it more helpful to actually look at the source code of the page. I am hoping to try and use one of these style sheets and link it to my other html written pages, this will allow me to change only the style sheet and have every other page update with it, kind of like parametric 3D modelling. I’m not going to go on listing more sites for if you want to have a look go and have a look, they are all there on his site.
The next site that we were introduced to was http://box.net/ This site allows us to view documents that our teacher puts up, i.e. project outlines or tutorials.
One last website that he showed us was http://werbach.com/barebones/ The Bare Bones Guide to HTML. I haven’t yet had a chance to look through this site though hopefully it will help me improve my html and give me more freedom in Web Site Design than I currently have.
So there you have it, my second blog and a few cool websites, oh yeh, how could I forget, I haven’t yet said where and how I made my blog. The url is https://www.blogger.com/start and click on ‘CREATE YOUR OWN BLOG’, fill in the forms and start blogging J It’s that simple, It should only take you a few minutes, though if for some reason you have any questions feel free to ask me, I’d be more than happy to try and answer.
Until next time, happy blogging.
Ps. Because this post is primarily made up of different url’s I’d better give myself a plug, www.gdsigns.blogspot.com
Thanks for reading,
Guy.
